“It’s what she has dedicated all her time, energy, and love into, and it has become her bread and butter. My mother has raised my siblings and me and after all the hardships throughout her life which led her here, there are two things that I see most within her: perseverance and sacrifice.”

I chose this quote from myself in my essay about someone successful. I had selected to talk about my mother, because she has been consistently the most important person to me. This quote embodies that. It’s the thesis statement that I had created for it. It is both detailed and passionate, as is the rest of the essay. It was both the hardest essay as it was emotional for me, but it was also an easy one because I knew what I wanted to do with it. It just feels like an embodiment of my moms sacrifices which subsequently led me to where I am today. It is the best representation of me as both a person and a writer.
